Alexa Tip: Locating Kindle Books Alexa Can Read

In addition to streaming music, podcasts, and radio channels, Amazon’s Alexa devices can also read books to you.

Alexa can play audiobooks and other premium audio programming from Audible and Kindle Unlimited. The ability to read Audible books is a given, considering Amazon owns Audible and those are already developed as digital products. But, there are a growing number of Kindle books that can also take advantage of Alexa’s voice playback.

When you purchase eBooks from Amazon, look for the Whispersync for Voice-Ready and Audible Narration Ready statements in the book’s description as shown…

You might already have a few eBooks you’ve purchased that have either been converted to narration-ready, or you purchased already not knowing. To see which books are Alexa-capable…

1.       Open the Alexa app for iOS, Android, or on the web (http://alexa.amazon.com).

2.       Open Settings and goto Music & Books.

3.       At the bottom of the page, tap or click on Kindle Books to be taken to the screen of Alexa-capable Kindle eBook purchases.

Additionally, if you want to locate your Audible books…
