When we say she’s been talking about it, we means she’s been railroaded into answering questions on whether or not she would reprise her role as Bella Swan and she’s tried very hard to dodge the questioning.
But she did admit she’d be the first person to pick up a copy of Stephanie Meyer’s next installment in the saga, if the author were to write another novel.
Asked if she’d like to get back on the Twilight set, the 26-year-old actress told Press Association: ‘We kind of finished the series. We made five movies. I think we kind of did it justice.’
And when pressed on whether she’d be tempted to return if there was another book, she replied: ‘I would definitely be the first to read it, yeah.’
So that’s basically saying she’d snap up a copy of the book immediately so she could start researching her character’s story for the next film, right?
Of course it would be hugely signifcant if Kristen were to revive Bella, as it would most likely mean her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson would be reprising his role as Edward Cullen. And that would bean Kristen and R-Pattz reuniting years after their bitter split in 2012.
Stewart and Pattinson famously dated after meeting on the set of the hit movie franchise.
They were the showbiz couple of the moment, constantly followed by paparazzi and the media, forced into living their private lives in the public eye.
And the showbiz world was rocked in 2012 when Kristen scandalously announced she’d had an affair behind Rob’s back with her Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
However, if Kristen and Rob could put their differences to one side – after all, she’s moved on with model girlfriend Stella Maxwell and he’s shacked up with singer FKA Twigs – it would be pretty awesome.
Plus, Lionsgate – the studio who made the Twilight films – last year said they would be up for revisiting the vampire movies.
